To glorify God by making and maturing disciples who know, love, and serve Jesus.
Fitzhugh Baptist Church has deep roots in our community, dating back to the turn of the 20th century. On March 26, 1915, a small group of baptized believers laid the foundation for what would become our church, committing to work together in the Lord's work. Since our inception, our mission has remained the same: to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the faithful preaching and teaching of God's Word.
Over the years, we've faced challenges and celebrated triumphs. At one point, our congregation thrived with 400 members dedicated to the Great Commission in the TX Hill Country and beyond. Through it all, in God's mercy and grace, a tight-knit group of faithful members have continued the work begun over a century ago.
Looking ahead, we're confident that the best days of Fitzhugh Baptist Church are yet to come. Under the leadership of Pastor Jarrid Hawkins, we're committed to a vision firmly rooted in Jesus Christ and the Gospel.
Letting the Word of God shape every sermon.
All elements of our gathering are driven by Scripture.
Intentionally caring for and discipling one another towards maturity in faith.
Submission to Christ's leadership as a pastor-led, congregational ruled body of believers.
Equipping families to lead their children in faith.
Embracing the truth that Christians are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, revealed by Scriptures alone, to the glory of God alone.
We invite you to join us every Sunday morning as we worship the risen Savior, Jesus Christ, together at Fitzhugh Baptist Church. Our rich history and bright future are by God's grace alone, and we're excited for you to be part of the work He's doing as our church grows once again!
We believe in singing the Word. These are songs you will hear during our worship services.
