Letter from our Pastor

Greetings in Jesus Powerful Name:

Recently, nineteen of Fitzhugh’s men attended a “Vision Retreat”.  Those men returned having received a “first glimpse” of God’s vision for Fitzhugh Baptist Church. Believing that God confirms His will through fellow believers and allows the differing gifts within the body of Christ to work together to bring God greater glory, please join together with us on Saturday, April 2 for “Found Faithful” to further seek the Lord about the future of Fitzhugh Baptist Church.

Our goal is to reach an agreement about God’s purpose for our church and discuss the organizational structure we will need to implement, in order, to fulfill God’s purpose for our church in this generation. Our ­objective is that we might be found faithful to the Savior by fulfilling the great commission and the great commandment in the Hill Country! The scripture says, “Moreover it is required of Stewards that one be found faithful.” (I Corinthians 4:2)

In order to make “Found Faithful” successful we need you to help us:

• by clearing your calendar now for the morning of April 2,
• by arriving having prayed and sought God about Fitzhugh Baptist Church. God works in all His children. What God has to say through you is valuable and we want to listen to you,
• by completing the enclosed study guide. It is designed as a tool to aid in our discussion, and
• by returning the enclosed RSVP card so that we can prepare sufficient food and materials.

We can’t wait to see you Saturday, April 2 from 8:00AM until 12:00PM in the Family Life Center. We will begin by sharing a hot breakfast. For those of you with children a nursery and childcare for elementary school age children will be provided.

In closing, consider the following:

It is practical, realistic, and action-oriented. It is the specific steps one must take to fulfill God’s broader mission.”
