FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Fitzhugh Begins Pastor's 15th Year with NO Long Term Debt!
Austin, TX: August 9, 2005:
Fitzhugh Baptist Church has announced the completion of their “Pay off the Debt” campaign for 2005. The campaign commenced in April 2005 after 18 men completed a Vision Retreat. Upon returning Bro. Ken Edwards came to the Pastor and shared his belief that now was the time to retire the remaining $30,000 dollar debt on Fitzhugh Baptist Family Life Center. This campaign was launched to the glory of God and the furtherance of His ministry through Fitzhugh Baptist to our neighbors, friends and community. This campaign focused on preparing for the Long Term growth and vision for Fitzhugh Baptist Church. Approximately 2 weeks ago the debt had been reduced to approximately $15,000 dollars and the goal date of August 7th was fast approaching. August 7th held a special significance to our Pastor Bro. John McCullough, who begins 15 years of service with Fitzhugh Baptist Church on the first Sunday in August. This challenge was not left unanswered by God nor the congregation at Fitzhugh. On August 7th, the Church saw the raising of the entire amount necessary to paying off the remaining debt on the Family Life Center and a beginning a fresh start on our Pastor’s 15th year of service.
