If you haven't been by Fitzhugh in a while, come see the renovations we've done!
We've recently performed renovations to the inside of the church, including
painting, new carpet and tile to hold us over while we look at
options of building a new sanctuary across the street with the
Fitzhugh Life Center for our incoming growth.

It's not too late to join
AWANA
!
Fitzhugh Baptist Church would like to welcome
newcomers and existing residents to come join us. This year
we've also put out the welcome mat and have enjoyed having the
AWANA group from First Baptist Church, Dripping Springs join us
after the tragic events to their historic sanctuary. All
are welcome to come bring their
children to experience the power of the AWANA program for
themselves!
Young people hold a special place in Jesus’ heart. He created them. He sacrificed His life for their sins. He longs for them to know, love and serve Him. He desires to spend eternity with them. His kingdom belongs to such as these.
That’s why kids matter so deeply to Awana. As a worldwide ministry, we believe that Jesus is the answer to every child’s needs, particularly for salvation. Awana programs and materials have been carefully crafted to help churches clearly and consistently communicate the good news of Christ and His plan for their lives, as expressed in His Word, each week of the Awana year.

A Parents Prayer
O heavenly father, make me a better parent. Teach me to understand
my children, to listen patiently to what they have to say, and answer all of their
questions kindly. Keep me from interrupting them or contradicting them. Make me
as courteous to them as I would have them be to me. Forbid that I should ever laugh
at their mistakes, or resort to shame or ridicule when they displease me. May I
never punish them for my own selfish satisfaction or to show my power. Let me not
tempt my child to lie or steal. And guide me hour by hour that I may demonstrate
by all I say and do that honesty produces happiness. Reduce; I pray the meanness
in me. And when I am out of sorts, help me, O Lord, to hold my tongue. May I ever
be mindful that my children are children and I should not expect of them the
judgment of adults. Let me not rob them of the opportunity to wait on themselves
and to make decisions. Bless me with the bigness to grant them all of their
reasonable requests and the courage to deny them privileges I know will do them
harm. Make me fair and just and kind. And fit me Lord to be loved and respected
and imitated by my children
